AGM

Friends of Southern Eyre Peninsula Parks

Thursday 12 March, 7.30pm, the Friends of Southern Eyre Peninsula Parks annual general meeting will be held at the Port Lincoln Senior Citizens Hall. The guest speaker will be well-known local photographer and osprey expert Fran Solly, talking on the Osprey Project. Light supper will be provided, and all are welcome.

Not opening

St Thomas Tea-Room

Friday 13 March, the St Thomas Tea-Room will not be open this Friday. Organisers regret any disappointment this causes for regular customers. The next tea-room opening will be on Friday 27 March.

International Women’s Day

Saturday 14 March, 10am to noon, guest speaker Kathryn House AM will challenge thinking and ignite motivation at an International Women’s Day brunch at Port Lincoln Hotel. Come and ‘Power Up’ for the day ahead, gain confidence and meet with community leaders in a welcoming environment. St Pat’s Dance

Port Lincoln Social Dance Group

Sunday 14 March, 7.30pm, it is a green theme for this week’s social dance night at North Shields Hall, celebrating St Patrick’s Day, with lucky spot and door prizes. Bring a plate of supper to share, or come along and join the family fun evening. All are welcome – learn a dance or listen to the music. $10 admission, kids under 15 years free. Southern Eyre Bird Club

Sunday 15 March, 9am, the club’s next outing will be visiting Lincoln National Park. BYO lunch, chair, binoculars and camera. Meet at St Joe’s Triangle at 9am. Car pooling is available.

Tuesday 17 March, 10am, Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club will host its annual general meeting at Kirton Bowling Club at 10am. All are welcome.

Saturday 21 March, 11.30am, while the Tuna Classic boats are out on the water, join Variety Bash group The Runaway Brides for a wonderful afternoon of food, friendship and fundraising at Marina Hotel. Fishing competition

Coffin Bay

Sunday 22 March, 7am onwards, Cummins Kapinnie Netball Club’s Coffin Bay Fishing Competition will take place in the Coffin Bay area. Online registrations are open until Friday 20 March, or register on the day at the Coffin Bay boat ramp on the day between 7am and 9.30am. Permaculture Fair

Sunday 29 March, 9am to 2pm, head along to Big Swamp Hall – corner of Pobke Road and Flinders Highway – for the Permaculture Fair. The event will be the 30th birthday celebration for Eyre Bioregional Permaculture Group. There will be stalls, produce, barbecue, food, coffee, music and more. Follow the parking direction. All are welcome to attend.

Easter Sunday Fishing Day Competition

Elliston and Districts Business and Progress Association

Sunday 5 April, the Elliston and Districts Business and Progress Association is hosting the second Easter Sunday Fishing Day Competition. Juniors 16 years and under in four categories and adults in five categories, with great prizes to be won. Registration is $5 per person, payable by cash only. Register at the Elliston markets on Saturday 4 April, 10am to 2pm and on Sunday 5 April, at the Elliston front beach barbecue area on Beach Terrace from 7:30am to 10am.
