Morning tea to celebrate Probus

Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club recently held a morning tea at the Port Lincoln Hotel to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Probus in Australia.

Probus has grown into a vibrant network of social clubs across all states and territories, supporting more than 90,000 members across 1300 clubs.

It has played a vital role in helping people build meaningful social connections and stay active in later life.

Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club has more than 50 members who enjoy meetings with very interesting guest speakers, to Happy Chats that are held twice a month, as well as an outing if there are five Tuesdays in a month.

In February, 23 ladies attended a morning tea, with lots of chatting and laughter.

The ladies talked about the jewellery they were wearing, many of which were gifts from husbands or bought for special occasions.

Happy birthday was sung to two members celebrating their birthdays.

Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club meets at the Kirton Bowling Club for its monthly general meetings, 10am on Tuesdays, and new members are very welcome.

Please phone Christine on 0427 169 484 for more information.
