New Year’s Day is always a special day of celebration around the world, but for Mrs Pauline Whitehead (née Beinke) this year’s new year marked a magnificent milestone – her 90th birthday.
Pauline welcomed friends and family from around Australia to a celebration hosted at Bite and Brew Cafe, Maitland. Guests included nephews John and Rick Whitehead (sons of the late Roy Whitehead), and Carol Liccione (daughter of the late Len Whitehead). Pauline, dressed in pink with an ivory silk corsage from her wedding dress, married the late Clive Whitehead of Port Lincoln in 1960, and settled in Cowell before moving to Maitland on the Yorke Peninsula in January 1975.
