Feels like Christmas in Port Lincoln this weekend

It will truly feel like Christmas time in Port Lincoln this Saturday, 29 November, as the pageant rolls through town and carols fill the air.

The excitement will start with the Beyond Bank Port Lincoln Christmas Pageant, which commences from Bishop Street, near the Port Lincoln Hotel, at 3pm.

About two-dozen floats are set to participate in this year’s pageant and local children can expect a glimpse of Father Christmas before he heads back to the North Pole to load up his sleigh.

The floats will travel along Tasman Terrace and finish near the Port Lincoln Yacht Club end of the foreshore lawns, where the Carols on the Foreshore will take place.

From 4pm, the evening will feature market stalls and pre-carols entertainment, including performances from MTC Dance, Odette’s School of Dance, St Joseph’s School and more local groups.

The Churches of Port Lincoln’s Carols on the Foreshore, led by talented local singers and musicians, will take place from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Printed programs with carol lyrics will be available on the night.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or folding chairs and enjoy an uplifting evening by the water.
