Family Violence Legal Service

Thursday 27 November, 11am, Meet under the Moreton Bay figs from 10.40am and join the walk to end violence against women. The walk will go to Port Lincoln Yacht Club, which will have an event space open from 11am. There will be coffee, popcorn, donuts, smoothies and a sausage sizzle at the end of the walk.

Christmas Tree Festival

Friday 28 November-Sunday 30 November, come along to the Christmas Tree Festival at Flinders Highway. It will be open on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, with various stalls including bric-a-brac, plus refreshments. Entry is a gold coin donation, with everyone welcome.

Saturday 29 November, 4pm, come along to the Port Lincoln foreshore for Carols by the Foreshore, a free community event. Pre-entertainment starts at 4pm, with carols from 5.30pm to 8pm. Bring your picnic rug, chairs, family and friends.

Monday 1 December, 1.15pm, Port Lincoln Singers will be presenting a free concert for V.I.M.S and the general public at Port Lincoln Library. There will be a selection of traditional Christmas favourites and Australian carols. All are welcome to attend.

Note the change of time to the afternoon to avoid a clash with the Mosaic Celebration of Completion in the morning. Decorate the Memory Tree to be part of the Decorated Christmas Tree Display fundraiser for the RSL. Bring a past Christmas memory to share with others to be written on a Christmas decoration. Afternoon tea will be supplied. This is a free event supported by Cummins Lions Club and Cummins Op Shop.

Cellar Folk Club

Saturday 6 December, 7.30pm, Port Lincoln’s Cellar Folk Club will meet for its next gathering and Christmas celebration for the end of a successful 2025, at the Baptist Church Cafe. There will be heaps of songs, acoustic music, Christmas sing-a-longs and poems – suitable for all ages – plus feature artist Ben Sunderland. Everybody is welcome, musicians and non-performers, at the free event. Bring some Christmas nibbles for a shared supper break.

This story captures the magic of living on a farm that is just a quick walk to the beach. You may recognise Jillian’s art work if you have visited the Nautilus Arts Centre gallery shop.

Friday 12 December to Friday 19 December, 10am to 3pm, Cummins Yeelanna RSL is adding to the Christmas events in Cummins with the Christmas Tree display. Entry is a gold coin donation per person. Voting by silver coin for the most popular Christmas tree is a fundraiser for the Cummins RSL. Competition categories are personal tree (individual entry), business tree, community group entry and novelty tree. Carols by the Beach

Sunday 14 December, 5pm, all are welcome to enjoy an evening by the beach at the Tumby Bay foreshore lawns, adjacent to the yacht club. Food stalls and kids’ pre-carols entertainment from 5pm, with carols starting at 6pm.
