Friday, July 25, 5.30pm, Lincoln Happy Hatters will be having a Christmas in July outing at Kirton Bowling Club at 5.30pm, for a 6pm mealtime. Please ring 0400 757 283 for attendance and to give your menu choice, which is needed by Friday, July 18.

Jam Shed open mic night

Port Lincoln RSL

Friday, July 25, 6pm until late, Whether you sing, strum, play the keys or just love live music, Jam Shed invites you to the Port Lincoln RSL for an open mic night. Tickets are $35 per head – which includes a two-course meal. Performance slots are 15 minutes. Bookings are essential, call 0411 181 501. A fully licensed bar will be open on the night and proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.

Tumby Bay visit

Port Lincoln Ladies Probus Club

Tuesday, July 29, 10am, the club’s fifth Tuesday outing will be to Tumby Bay. Shared car-pooling to meet at Kmart car park on Porter Street at 10am, unless other travel arrangements are made. The group will have coffee at Seaspell Café on Lipson Street upon arrival and lunch at the Seabreeze Hotel at noon. After lunch there will be a demonstration of weaving at 14 Dutton Street.

Understanding Dementia

Tuesday, August 19, 10am to 11.30am, this session provides an introduction to dementia, including an overview of different types of dementia, diagnosis, planning ahead and how to support someone living with dementia. Quiz night fundraiser

Saturday, August 23, 6pm for a 7.30pm start, Lake Wangary School is hosting a quiz night to fundraise for school projects. There will be live music, platters, raffles and prizes throughout the night. Tickets are $20 each, maximum eight people per table. Contact the school for more information.

Last Tuesday of each month, 11am to noon, Refreshments are provided at the monthly Dementia Friends Coffee and Catch-Up – an opportunity to socialise and share information and be a dementia-friendly community. All are welcome.

South Australian Country Women’s Association

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 3pm, learn a craft or bring your own project, come for a cuppa and enjoy the fun. A free morning tea is provided, at 7 Hallett Place.
