Port Lincoln Times cadet journalist Mitchell Paterson created this rephotography composition of Big Swamp before and after the recent rain.
The left half of the composition was Big Swamp on Wednesday, July 16, after about 47.8mm of rain in two weeks, and the right side was captured on Saturday, March 8, with the area completely dry.
At the time of print, the Bureau of Meteorology had forecasted between seven and 25mm of rainfall on Friday, July 25, and two to 10mm on Saturday, July 26.
