Young at Heart had its last meeting for the term at Unity Hill Church last Wednesday with about 50 attendees ranging from 12 months to 95-years-old.
Organised by a group of about 10 volunteers, the Young at Heart event has a new guest each week, showcasing a hobby or talent they possess with the group.
Attendees from Mathew Flinders Home, Pioneer Village and West Coast Homecare also play games, piece puzzles together and participate in a range of activities followed by a morning tea.
Families bring their young children along, and sometimes children from Toybox also get to come along and enjoy the intergenerational playgroup.
Young at Heart is from 1.30pm to 3pm on Wednesdays during school term, bringing together young children and their caregivers with over 60s, or people living away from their families, for an afternoon of having fun together.
