Big textile morning tea raises funds

Port Lincoln Textile, Quilters and Fibre Group held a Biggest Morning Tea event on Saturday, May 3, at Arteyrea to raise funds for Cancer Council.

The day was a great success with more than 120 people attending and donating to this worthy cause.

Everyone enjoyed a fantastic array of delicious cakes and savouries, and were delighted to see the amazing display of works that had been created by the members of this very creative group.

Attendees also took advantage of the trading table to purchase handmade goods.

The raffle was drawn at 1pm with first prize of a queen size quilt being won by Anne Rowe.

The other 26 prizes were then drawn.

The group thanked all those who contributed to making the day a great success and all the local businesses who generously donated prizes to make the raffle into a major fundraiser for Cancer Council.
