Here is what was biting and where across the region this week.
West Coast
With some horrible weather over the weekend not much has been reported since Friday.
Leading up to the storm a few keen anglers did well up the Far West Coast, landing good fish over 50 pounds.
For anyone that is heading up in the coming days it should be a good week to try to tick off that elusive silver ghost.
Streaky Bay and Venus Bay are still consistent for whiting, garfish, squid, and tommies.
Big snook have been caught in Venus Bay trolling bibbed lures and soft plastics.
Not many reports have come in from Elliston, but there should be whiting to be caught around Anxious Bay.
There have been good offshore catches of nannygai out from Elliston, Ceduna, and Sceale Bay when the weather allows.
No more reports of tuna have come in, but once the weather warms up they should start showing up.
Coffin Bay
Inside the bay, whiting are still getting caught by boat and land-based anglers.
The Brothers and Dutton Heads has been the most consistent for whiting along with a few garfish and salmon mixed in.
For land-based fishers, Seal Corner, the Ledge, Farm Beach and in the national park have had good reports of a few whiting and plenty of garfish and tommies.
Some nice flathead have been caught on the beaches throughout the national park on soft plastics and baits.
Around Farm Beach, whiting have been consistent in the deeper water off Frenchman’s and Gallipoli, with the odd gummy shark getting caught on the same spots.
Not many offshore reports came in due to the weather.
The reefs and lumps around Sir Isaacs and further offshore should be holding plenty of nannygai, sharks, and other reef species.
When the weather allows the offshore islands and lumps should be starting to hold samsons and kingfish.
Port Lincoln
In the bay, rat kingfish have been the excitement this week with the jetty and wharf being a popular spot to try land one.
Small to medium soft plastics like the Zman grubs and flick baits have been a popular choice and doing the damage.
Other spots like the BHP and marina have also had reports of rat kingfish.
On the whiting side of things, Boston Island has had some good reports of whiting and a few squid.
Proper Bay has been quite slow with a lot of small fish and boat fishers having to move around a lot.
Some good garfish have been caught along North Shields, Snooks Landing and Murray Point. Squid are starting to show up in better numbers with the jetty and snapper rocks producing a few most mornings.
Some good-sized whiting have been landed off the wharf and jetty in the afternoons.
In the national park a few flathead have been landed from the beaches as well as garfish and the odd salmon.
Sleaford to Wanna should be a good chance for salmon with the northerly winds this week.
The weather made it difficult to get out offshore – once the weather comes good again samsons, kingfish, nannygai and tuna should all be on offer on the offshore reefs and lumps.
Tumby Bay
Out of the at Group there have not been as many reports as recently, but going off the last few weeks the fishing should still be great.
Around Tumby Bay, squid have been in good numbers around the main reef and the island.
Ski Beach and the Sandhills have been good for whiting, garfish, and tommies with the odd squid in-between.
Land-based fishers at Second Creek, Ski Beach and Red Cliffs have had some good reports of salmon, flathead, and garfish.
Whiting have been few and far between from the shore.
Port Neill
Not many reports have come in for boaties, but the jetty has been good for squid in the afternoons and mornings.
Some nice garfish and tommies have been landed by those using burley and pencil floats.
