As the festive season kicks into full gear, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Port Lincoln held a Christmas Tree festival last weekend.

The display started on Friday, December 1 and was open across Saturday and Sunday for the public to view.

The display took hours to set up, with up to 14 volunteers putting in many hours across the previous week.

The biennial festival had been in the works for a number of months and there were over 40 Chrstimas trees in the display.

There were a number of themed trees including a Barbie doll tree, a Grinch tree and an Elvis tree.

There was a vintage tree with baubles that were about 40 to 50-years-old, as well as a tree made from paper and one from succulent plants.

Many hand-made Christmas trees were also featured, along with some trees made by the Port Lincoln Textiles, Quilters and Fibers group.
