The Port Lincoln Orchid Club held a successful annual spring show at Kallinyalla Nursery this month.

Judge Graham Zerbe from Adelaide congratulated the club and members who exhibited some exquisite orchids and said they were of a very good standard.

The three-day show was well attended and admired by the general public.

The grand champion orchid of the show was exhibited by Peter Hughes, who also won the champion cymbidium of the show.

The champion Australian native orchid was won by Milton Kowald and the champion other genera was won by Karl Hackenbroich.

A successful raffle was run by the club and the following people were the lucky winners: first place went to Semi Skoljarev, second to Graham Hurrell, third to Glyn and fourth to Milton Kowald.

The Port Lincoln Orchid Club meets on the last Thursday of the month and will celebrate its 60th anniversary in December.
