An instance of remnant vegetation die off has been reported at Whalers Way.
A spokesperson for the Native Vegetation Council (NVC) said it was aware of a report it had receieved at Whalers Way.
The Department for Environment and Water was investigating the report.
No further comment was made as it was an active investigation.
One source who lives in the area said it was possibly a natural occurrence, but looked forward to the final report from the NVC.
Clearance of native vegetation typically requires approval from the Native Vegetation Council.
