Friday 24 October, 9.30am and 5.30pm, Port Lincoln Arts Council is organising a visit to Port Lincoln of international pianist Tim Barton. He is performing two concerts – the first is a Morning Melodies at Uniting Church on New West Road – followed by morning tea. The second is an evening concert on the community piano in the Civic Centre Atrium. Both events will have tickets at the door, $5 by cash or card. Friday 24 October, noon, the group’s next lunch will be at the Pier Hotel, while people will also be able to let their hair down at the Great Northern Hotel for the Melbourne Cup lunch, with a special menu available if you wish. Tuesday 28 October, 11am, the Eyre Peninsula Parkinson’s Support Group is holding its next meeting at the Cummins Yoga Salon. Any Cummins residents who may suffer with Parkinson’s disease are encouraged and very welcome to come along. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Cummins Hotel.

Friday 31 October, 11am to 2pm, St Thomas Tea Rooms will not be open this Friday, 24 October – organisers apologise for the change to regular opening times. However, it will be open next week, where Devonshire teas and coffee, fresh juices and a light lunch (no barbecue) will be served.
