Women in Agriculture and Business (WAB) SA held its 2025 annual general meeting by Zoom in August.

Fourteen members of Charlton WAB drove to Coffin Bay on a beautiful sunny afternoon, where they were hosted by member Lyn (and Maurice) Siviour.

Members from branches in the South East, Yorke Peninsula and the Upper Murray all linked in.

The state president chaired this statewide meeting from Coffin Bay.

Both Anthony Medcalf – the vice president of the Herb Society of SA – and WAB member Sandra Young in the Online branch addressed the group.

Anthony spoke of the physical health, psychological, nutritional and medical value of herbs, while Sandra demonstrated a herbal tea to help in controlling cholesterol levels.

Both were interesting speakers, supplemented by samples and visual demonstrations.

Following the AGM, where all officers were re-elected, members participated in a brief meeting of Charlton branch.

The main interest was the draft program for 2025-26, which was presented.

The group’s monthly meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month and are open to the public.

Look out for Charlton WAB in the Times’ community announcements.

Afternoon tea followed to end the day.
