Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is celebrating 20 years in Port Lincoln.
The association is inviting the community, past and present volunteers, riders and families to help celebrate the occasion with a morning tea and tours on Sunday, October 29 from 10am to 12pm.
The original committee for the Port Lincoln centre was formed on April 7, 2003, and in October 2003 the first lessons took place at Ravendale Park Pony Club on Proper Bay Road.
Support for the centre’s opening came from far and wide, including Alice Springs and Whyalla RDA programs.
RDA is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that provides opportunities for people with a disability to participate in and enjoy horse-related activities, in a safe and inclusive environment.
The association has a strong history within the Port Lincoln community, having participated in race days and built relationships with other long standing businesses, clubs and groups.
