Zonta Club of Port Lincoln

Friday, September 8 at the Port Lincoln Hotel, the Zonta Club is hosting an evening with Dr Barry Kirby from 6.30pm. Shared platters in the function room will be followed by a seated talk with the Hands of Rescue founder who will provide an update on his work in Papua New Guinea. Tickets are $40 and available online at localtix.com.au, with all funds raised going to Hands of Rescue.

Friday, September 8 at 7pm Port Lincoln Sporting Club Inc will hold its annual general meeting at the Port Lincoln Sporting Club Clubrooms, 28 Concorde Road, Port Lincoln – all members are welcome.

The Moscow Circus Extreme

Saturday, September 9 at 7.30pm, the Dockings Band will play for dancing in the North Shields Hall. There will be a shared supper – all are welcome.

Picken Edwards Fundraiser

Sunday, September 10, 10am-2pm, a family fun day and markets will be held at the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre for the Picken Edwards Fundraiser. Lucky door prizes, jumpy castle and more. Gold coin donations for entry, and those under three are free. Pre-book kidzone at the Facebook page.

Coffin Bay Market

Sunday, September 10, 10am-2.30pm, the Coffin Bay Market will be held with homemade food including tarts, cakes, jams and much more. There will be homemade arts and crafts including quilts and various knitted items. There will also be lots of jewellery, candles, artwork, macrame and more in the Hall by the sea.

Port Lincoln Art Group

Monday to Friday, September 14 to October 18, 10am to 3pm at the Nautilus Arts Centre, the Port Lincoln Art Group will be running ‘A is for Art’, its annual exhibition. It will also run from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays, while on the long weekend there will be added times of 9am to 1pm on Sunday, October 1 and Monday, October 2.

Port Lincoln Combined Probus Club

Friday, September 15 at 10am, members please note the next day out is to Mikkira Station. Meet at Port Lincoln Bowling Club at 10am for carpooling. Fire Boxes are available for barbecues if required. Please bring your own wood and chairs as there is no wood at Mikkirra. The gate is locked and the club will organise a key for entry. Further details at the Friday meeting.

Lipson Progress Association

Saturday, September 23 from 9am to 2pm, the Lipson Progress Association will be fundraising with a spring market and garden show. This will be followed by a dinner from 6pm to which bookings are essential, please phone 0427 023 722 to RSVP by September 20.

Saturday, October 21 at 7pm there will be a fundraiser to keep the Royal Flying Doctor Service flying, at the Port Lincoln Hotel. Tickets are $30 plus booking fee. There will be a silent auction, live band, raffle prizes and more. For tickets and more information go to portlincolnhotel.com.au
